The Supreme Court is currently handling a legal battle between the governments of Kaduna, Kogi, and Zamfara and the Federal Government over the naira redesign policy.
The case has been consolidated with eleven states as plaintiffs and the Bayelsa and Edo state governments joining the federal government as defendants.
Presided over by Justice John Okoro, a seven-member panel of Justices heard all the applications filed in the matter to prevent any harm to the judiciary. Justice Okoro insisted on hearing the case and promised to reach a verdict soon.
