A host of clubs are very interested in signing  Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks this summer as the former England man is looking to reboot his career after sparsely featuring for his boyhood club during the 2021/2022 Premier League season.

Winks was linked to a move outside the club back in January after the Dele Alli moved to Everton on a permanent deal.  Antonio Conte decided to retain Winks as he had no other midfielders in his ranks except Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and the new signing Rodrigo Bentancur who joined from Juventus.

Winks has caught the eye of a few clubs in England, with Nottingham Forest and Southampton all interested in the Spurs academy graduate. However, both clubs will meet stiff competition in the market as a foreign club are also monitoring Harry Winks.

Sevilla are interested in signing Winks and they are weighing up a move for the Englishman, just like Forest and Soton. However, they have an edge as they will be playing Champions League football, and having Winks in their squad will be an added advantage as the England man was very instrumental in Tottenham’s Champions League quest in the 2018/19 season, where they lost to Liverpool in the final.

Tottenham have tagged Winks at £25m and expect any of these clubs to meet these financial demands. However, should he push for an exit himself, the asking price will be lowered and a move could be made easier.

Winks has one more year in his current contract and being an academy graduate, to see him leave on a free will not speak well of the club, according to certain board members.  Winks has played 19 times in the Premier League this season, bagging one assist in its wake.

No conclusions have been reached as it stands and it is still an open race with equal opportunities for all sides. Winks is yet to decide on his future but will do so before pre-season.
