Iwobi Says Arsenal Are 'Working A Lot Harder' Under Emery

Alex Iwobi has revealed Arsenal are working a lot harder under new boss, Unai Emery.

Iwobi says Arsenal are running a bit more, working a lot harder but are happy under Unai Emery who succeeded Arsene Wenger.

After a sloppy start under Emery with back-to-back losses against Manchester City and Chelsea, the Gunners have rose again and have started flourishing.

On Thursday, the north Londoners clinched their fourth consecutive win with a 4-2 thumping of Ukrainian side Vorskla in the UEFA Europa League opener at the Emirates Stadium.

And the Nigeria international who played a significant role in the tie has disclosed that the team is gradually adjusting to the ‘new ideas’ from their boss.

“He’s a new manager, a new system,” Iwobi told ESPN.

“Like I said, we are buying in to new ideas so it will take a bit of time but we’re slowly getting there.

“Obviously we are winning games now, we just have to keep being consistent and keep on pushing.

“He demands a lot, we are working a lot harder in training, running a bit more.

“But as you can see, we are buying into his ideas and we are enjoying our time with him.

“We are not going to dwell on the past, we are always looking forward to the next game.

“We learn from out mistakes like we have done.

“We have got four wins on the bounce now so we have just got to keep on going keep this momentum going and try to get as many wins as we can, like I’m saying.”

Arsenal will be looking to continue with the momentum when they lock horns with Everton in Sunday’s Premier League outing.
