Representatives of Raiola Sports are currently in Turin as they are prepared to hold talks with the Juventus board over a possible free transfer for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba. Pogba’s contract runs out in a few weeks’ time and the Frenchman has no intention of extending his stay at Old Trafford.
Pogba is keen on a United exit as he intends to ”Win Trophies” elsewhere and he was rumored to join PSG at the end of the season but the French club are yet to make a move to sign the Les Blues international. Pogba is currently on injury and he will not feature again for United until the end of the season and this has caused quite a stir at Manchester United.
Pogba signed for £89m in 2016 from Juventus, a then world-record fee and the France international won the Europa League as well as the League Cup in 2017. Pogba has been on the front pages in recent weeks regarding the uncertainty of his future and the player was even vocal about joining PSG when he was on international duties with France back in March.
Juventus are willing to meet Pogba’s demands as per salary terms as there will be no fee for the player who will leave England for free. Juventus are in pole position to sign the 29-year-old this summer and there are few doubts that the deal will fall through.
Manchester City were rumoured to be interested in Pogba but the club have debunked these rumours and insists they are working on signing a defensive midfielder this summer. Pogba is considered an A-list midfielder and the Frenchman is still on the radar of PSG who are not giving up on him yet.
No agreement has been reached with any club as of yet, but with Juventus holding talks with Pogba’s representatives this afternoon, it is most likely the World Cup winner will return to his old home this summer. Pogba is yet to speak publicly on his future amid links to various clubs and the player will communicate his decision to his agents.
