Family Pays Tribute to Her Life of Grace, Dignity, and Faith
Renowned socialite and businesswoman Princess Kadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri, popularly known as “Cash Madam,” has passed away at the age of 89. She died on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, after a brief illness.
The announcement was made by one of her children, Dr. Adebayo Adebowale, in a statement issued on behalf of the family. The statement celebrated the remarkable life of Princess Edionseri, highlighting her enduring impact on her family and community.
“With deep gratitude to Allah for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Princess Kadijat Abike Adebisi Edionseri (née Elegbede), who returned to her creator on January 5, 2025, at the age of 89, following a brief illness,” the family statement read.
It continued: “Her life was a shining example of grace, dignity, and unwavering faith. Princess Edionseri touched the lives of many through her wisdom, kindness, and dedication to both her family and her community. She taught us the importance of love, resilience, and faith in Allah, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations.”
Described as a pillar of strength and a source of wisdom, Edionseri’s warmth, laughter, and values left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
In accordance with Islamic traditions, her burial will take place on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 4 pm at her residence in the Abeokuta Government Residential Area.
