Nigerian singer, Brymo, has finally issued an apology to the Igbos.
His apology comes after thousands of Nigerians signed a petition calling for him to be removed from the nomination list for the AFRIMA Award.
The singer had faced backlash for making statements that the Igbos were not ready to produce a Nigerian president and suggesting they test the waters with the vice presidential slot first.
Taking to his Twitter page, Brymo apologized for his statements, stating that he did not mean to harm the Igbo tribe and asking for forgiveness. He also added that his apologies extend to all Igbos that may not have been directly affected by his comments.
