Hollywood star, Jeremy Renner, has pleaded with Sony to keep web-slinging superhero, Spider Man, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
This is in light of recent news that Sony is pulling out of their deal with Disney and Marvel Studios about Spider Man featuring in the MCU.
Renner, who made the appeal on his Instagram page, didn’t mince words as he kept the post as minimal as possible.
The introduction of Spider Man to the MCU was well-received by fans, thanks to a new take on the character by the young Tom Holland.
The Marvel Comics character, who had been portrayed in earlier Spider Man movies by actors, Tobey Maguire, and Andrew Garfield, has arguably been the most beloved by fans, who totally gave their praise and support when a younger version of the hero was introduced in the MCU.
Now fans, who have made the #SaveSpiderMan trend, hope to keep seeing the iconic superhero in more Marvel movies. Spider Man was recently seen in the new movie, Spider Man: Far From Home.
Jeremy Renner is an American actor who is best known for playing the skilled archer Hawkeye in the MCU.
