The Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, has commended the call for a revolution in Nigeria by Omoyele Sowore, calling it the highest form of bravery.
The political activist stated that the arrest of Sowore by the DSS and the actions carried out by security operatives to stop the #RevolutionNow protests on Monday was an insult to decency, justice and fair play. He added that Sowore did nothing wrong.
The IPOB leader condemned President Muhammadu Buhari for describing the protest as illegal, reminding him that he (Buhari) and his supporters made a similar call for revolution in 2014 and nobody arrested them.
“What Sowore did in calling for a revolution in Nigeria is the highest form of bravery. Protests should continue and if need be intensified, especially in Yoruba land, until Sowore is set free”.
