Chidinma Ojukwu an undergraduate who is on trial for the murder of Super TV boss, Michael Usifo Atanga has been crowned the ‘Miss Cell 2022’ at Kirikiri Beauty Pagent.
This event has sparked huge reactions from Nigerians condemning the system for allowing her to participate in the first place.
The suspect, whose trial is ongoing, won the beauty pageant held at Kirikiri correctional facility.
The event was to mark the 2022 International Women’s Day.
However, Chidinma won the most beautiful and creative female inmate.

In western countries, prisoners go to school, fulfill their ambitions, play football games and other games. It is not strange for them to have these things. It's just strange hearing it in Nigeria and with the gender toxicity on Twitter.

I get that competitions between prison inmates have its advantages but why will a murder suspect (Chidinma Ojukwu) be allowed to participate, the organisers couldn't even take into consideration how the family of the deceased will feel seeing this. How s!lly & insensitive of 'em.

I get that Chidinma Ojukwu is an alleged k*ller, but her being crowned “Miss Cell 2022” at a beauty pageant held within kirikiri correctional facility is normal. Pageants are held within prisons for some sort of entertainment to inmates.
Nothing wrong.

Is Chidinma the problem or the beauty pageant is the problem?

I don't know why people are making noise about chidinma winning a beauty pageant in prison, You guys think there is no social life and activities in prison? Or you think they just sit on the floor all day? Guys play football, and other sports, church activities and all are done.

Seeing people applaud Chidinma Ojukwu winning in prison makes we regret times I speak for justice for a female victim cause it seems as a man you should be liable to die while criminative women should be protected. I'm sad! Humanity is HuMANity sadly. Breaking the bias indeed!

Chidinma Ojukwu is getting the queen’s treatment for allegedly committing a murder crime. I see how y’all level up equality.

There is actually nothing wrong with organising activities in prison. It’s a global practice. However, what I find insensitive & totally wrong is posting the information & pictures of Chidinma Ojukwu. This will only remind the man’s family of their loss. Such insensitivity!
