Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, has revealed that interstate trips are still made by President Muhammadu Buhari’s aides despite the ban of interstate travels.
In his interview with Channels TV on Monday, June 15, Shehu admitted that some presidential aides still travel only after they have been permitted by security agents at checkpoints.
The presidential aide proved the view that the presidency has failed and is disobeying the directive of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) to be wrong.
Shehu stated that “When it is warranted, the people can offer themselves at the checkpoints and once the explanations they give are convincing, they are allowed to proceed. I think this happens all over the country.
“We follow what the NCDC and ministry of health prescribe. The difference the Villa makes is that there is an eye on everyone.”
