Tech Executive Nima Momeni has been arrested by the San Francisco police department in connection to the murder of Cash App founder, Bob Lee.
TalkGlitz Media had reported that Bob Lee was reported dead after being stabbed near the downtown area of San Francisco.
According to the police department, they received a call about a stabbing incident in the Rincon Hill neighborhood on Main Street around 2:35 a.m. When they arrived at the scene, they found Lee who was immediately taken to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
During an afternoon news conference, San Francisco Police Chief William Scott confirmed that 38-year-old Nima Momeni, the founder of Expand IT, a software company, was arrested on suspicion of murder in Emeryville, a Bay Area city where his company has offices.
While the police department has not provided any additional details about the connection between the two, Chief Scott confirmed that Lee and Momeni were known to each other. He, however, did not provide further details about the nature of their relationship or why they were together that night.
The police department is currently conducting an investigation into the incident and has urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
