Manchester United ace Paul Pogba is set to depart Old Trafford more than ever. The 29-year-old has been injured for over two weeks and will likely miss the rest of the current season. Pogba joined Manchester United in 2016 having left for free back in 2012. He broke the global transfer record in ’16 when United paid Juventus $100m for Pogba to join on a five-year deal with an option of a further year.
Pogba has won the Europa League as well as the League Cup and the Community Shield with Manchester United in 2017. Pogba also won the prestigious FIFA World Cup in 2018 with his nation France when they beat Croatia 4-2 in the final in Russia.
In 2020, Pogba was linked to a move to Real Madrid and the deal was close to being agreed in principle until Manchester United blocked the move. Pogba has been on the radar of various clubs in recent months and many are pushing to sign him on a free next month.
Pogba is open to joining French champions PSG come summer and the Les Blues midfielder believes he will achieve a lot at the Parc Des Princes should he make the switch. Other elite clubs are monitoring Pogba, whose chances of remaining a Manchester United player next season are very slim. Pogba is optimistic that the right bid will come and sources close to him say PSG are his first choice.
PSG are yet to launch an official bid for talks to begin but Pogba is in no hurry as he has all summer to decide and come to terms with a club. United are also letting go of Nemanja Matic, Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly whom have chosen to leave at the end of the season.
