The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission a week ago gave more than two checks totalling N11.9m to a ward of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Rivers State, in case you missed it.
The sum was said to have been stolen by a minister of the RCCG, Cyril Idakwoji.
The South-South Zonal Head of the EFCC, Mr. Ishaq Salihu, clarified on Wednesday, that Idakwoji, a previous worker of Access Bank, was the record officer of the congregation for the bank.
He said the presume redirected the congregation assets to private use as opposed to exchanging them to the congregation’s financial balance.
