The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Ademola Adeleke, has amassed a total votes of 254,698 in 29 local governments announced as against the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Gboyega Oyetola’s 254,345 votes polled in the 29 local governments. The difference between both parties is 353 votes.
Iyiola Omisore’s SDP polled 128,049 votes.
The PDP has won in 17 local governments in the 29 local governments announced by INEC, PDP party members in the INEC office are in a celebratory mood as a result of this.
PDP agent objecting the results of Olorunda and Ife East LGs, citing irregularities in the figures.
Also, a state electoral officer identified as Salawu Kolawole was allegedly caught destroying result sheets in Osogbo.

According to the returning officer, votes from Ward 5, Unit 17 in Osogbo was cancelled because the presiding officers absconded with ballot boxes.
