The Ogun State Government has confirmed that its website was hacked.
Talkglitz had reported that the official website of the Ogun State Government, www.ogunstate.gov.ng, has fallen victim to a vicious cyber-attack.
The perpetrators, who go by the name “Anon Ghost” and claim to be operating from the Maldives, boldly identified themselves as Aliester Crowley.
Confirming the incident t the Secretary to the State Government, Tokunbo Talabi, said the government is “working to restore the website,” adding that “all critical data and applications are secured”.
Talabi assured the public that all critical data and applications remain secure. He further emphasized the government’s dedication to improving its cyber security architecture.
“The State ICT team is working round the clock to access and restore all the critical services,” he said in a statement, adding that improving on the cyber security architecture is sacrosanct.
Talabi also expressed the government’s commitment to swiftly recover from the incident, ensuring that the website and its associated services will be operational again in the shortest possible time.
