Former Enyimba striker Tosin Omoyele is set to decide where he will continue to ply his trade after a sour ending to his time in Aba. The forward is believed to have violated the club’s rules when he travelled for his marriage ceremony.
The player was not allowed to train with the group and it became a toxic affair. On February 1,Omoyele terminated his contract, citing financial issues as a major factor for his contract termination. However the club via a spokesperson said it was only a mattet of discipline, stating that the club is not owing any staff wages or salary.
The player has been a free agent since February and with the half season fast approaching, Omoyele will be looking to sign for a club. Table toppers Rivers United are very keen on Omoyele’s services and he could be offered up to 400,000 monthly should he sign for the Port Harcourt club. However Rivers United face stiff competition as Katsina United are also chasing the 25-year-old,with Enyimba city rivals Abia Warriors also working on a deal for Omoyele.
The striker is in high demand with two goals from four appearances this season and last season he scored 10 goals in 38 league games. Omoyele is expected to make a decision on his future this week.
