IPOB’s retaliatory killing of two DSS operatives after an unprovoked attack which led to the murder of some of their members over the weekend is making quite the buzz on Twitter.
The Department of State Services (DSS) had announced the death of two of their security operatives on Sunday when a patrol team was attacked by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the Emene area of Enugu.
The attack by IPOB comes following the maiming, killing, and arrest of its members who were reportedly in a place of worship in the same area on Sunday.
In a live radio broadcast monitored by the Family Writers Press International, IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu had stated that “anywhere the Fulani Islamic army and police get involved in the killing of unarmed innocent Biafrans, they would retaliatorily be killed equally in their numbers.”
Now, Nigerians on Twitter are airing their opinions on the ugly development. See their reactions below:
#IPOB members engaging in peaceful assembly have been killed again in Enugu, Nigeria’s South East region, they are spending mindlessly to change d narrative in the media . @MBuhari regime got no respect for human rights, to the regime your life is worth nothing! #RevolutionNow

Order has been given.
Kill one IPOB and we shall kill one hundred of your men and their Corpse will not be found.
Every family meeting in Enugu from this night is hereby suspended, let us take our fate in our hands.

The Nigerian Police are always in a hurry to "clash" with IPOB members, Shiites and unarmed demonstrators but have never clashed with the deadly Fulani herdsmen or bandits holding sway in the North.
They have active collaborators in the Nigerian media.- clash my foot.

Dear IPOB please do not take laws into your hands. I am against the killings of unarmed Citizens, but please let the agitations not lead to more killings. The DSS operatives you killed are humans and your brothers too. Your governor/leader are your real enemy, not the DSS. https://t.co/HY9l3ilT5I

So, the lawless regime killed over 21 IPOB members just like that yesterday? Their only crime was protesting peacefully & unarned. Buhari hates democracy.

The situation here in Enugu is heartbreaking; how can Buhari’s FG throw various families into mourning by killing their innocent sons in broad daylight ?
Their only crime was protest.
The IPOB members were not armed, why kill them in front of their friends and family?— Somto Onuchukwu (@chosensomto) August 24, 2020

2 DSS operatives killed, arms taken by IPOB members. Turns out the operatives are all Igbos from SE. Law enforcement need to do a reshuffle of their operatives/operations in the SE, a lot are sympathizers.

Rest in Peace our brothers "IPOB" Heroes.

There is no justification for the recent killings of IPOB members in Enugu. There must be retaliation if not the killings will continue.
In the north the military and police do not kill their youths like that why in Igbo land. Enough is enough.— Mazi J.Obioma (@MJO08611583) August 23, 2020
