Joseph Oyediran, a 36-year old internet fraudster wanted by the United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Ilorin, Kwara State.
This was made known by EFCC’s Ilorin Zonal Head, Isyaka Sharu, during a press conference on Friday, August 29, 2019.
Sharu said that the arrest was as a result of the commission’s collaboration with the FBI.
Last week, the US government had announced the arrest of 80 people, mostly Nigerians, for their involvement in a massive conspiracy to steal millions of dollars.
