Massive Explosion Rocks Ukrainian Cities

The explosions hit Kyiv around 8:15 am local time (0515 GMT). It is said to be the most intense explosion in the city since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Explosions have also been heard in other cities like Lviv, Ternopil, Dnipro, Zhytomyr, and Zaporizhzhia.

According to reports one of Kyiv’s busiest road junctions was affected by the explosion while cars and buildings were destroyed in parts of the city.

The attack is coming days after Russian president Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of attacking the only bridge linking Russia and annexed Crimea.

“This was devised, carried out, and ordered by the Ukrainian special services,” Putin had said.
