The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo.
He was arrested on Thursday at around 9 am today at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
Sources said Oluomo was arrested over allegations of offenses bordering on financial crimes. He and some others were accused of forging signatures and financial documents of the assembly
Another source said he had been invited by the EFCC several times but failed to honor the invitations.
EFCC is yet to issue any official statement on the arrest of the speaker. The Ogun state house of assembly has also kept mum over the development.
