The finalizing of FC Barcelona association players for the men’s team first expedition to Palestine, from November 1 to 7.

The main activity of the trip will be the friendly match that the AJFCB Men’s will play on Friday the 4th. The Group’s expedition will consist of 27 people and will be led by the president, Ramon Alfonseda.

The Association travels to Palestine at the invitation of the Arab Orthodox Cultural Club (AOC), a sports and social entity in the city of Beit Sahour, very close to Bethlehem. The objective of the match and the rest of the activities is to strengthen ties of friendship and to share common spaces with the Association, such as solidarity or the social function of sport. The central activity will be the game that the men’s team from AJCFB and the AOC will play on Friday, November 4. A friendly match that will be played on the football field of the Al Khader stadium in Belén, a facility that during the month of August already visited the vice-president of the Association, Tente Sánchez, on his trip to close the details of the event.

In addition to playing soccer, the Barça expedition will promote sports activities for boys and girls in the Aida refugee camp in Bethlelem, and also the towns of Ramallah, Jerusalem and Jericho. A visit to a children’s hospital in Bethlehem has also been planned, as well as other institutional events, such as a meeting with the supporters’ clubs in Tel-Aviv and Nazareth. These are activities of solidarity and promotion of Barcelona, which are common in the Association sports trips, such as those that took place in 2016 and 2017 in Greece. This trip is the Association’s second trip outside of Spain this year after the one made in June to Denmark.

Additionally to Alfonseda and Sánchez, the Association’s expedition will be completed by the vice-president, Félix Barrado, the directors Joan Garcia Orti, the director Meritxell Solé and the former players Jordi Aguilar, Javier Botella, Alguer Brugarola, Daniel Cusiné, Albert García, Ignacio Gifré, José Manuel Guijo, Oscar Lausin, Francisco Javier López, José Manuel Martínez Ballestar, Vicente Navarro, Sergio Pérez, Javier Pitarch, Josep Maria Pujol, Pepito Ramos, Jordi Torcal and Florencio Toro.
