Veteran German goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has signed a contract extension at Bayern Munich today that keeps him at the club until June 2024. The two-year deal will see a salary raise for the German and will also see a few bonus clauses added to the deal. The 35-year-old is very happy in Munich and is enjoying his time in Bavaria. Hasan Salihamdizic was very instrumental for the number 1 to extend his stay at Bayern and the club’s chairman is also working on other players’ extensions.
Bayern are already down to transfer business as well as counteract talks and more even before June and it is reported to be so because the club intends to begin pre-season early. Legendary midfielder Thomas Muller is also set to sign a two-year contract extension at the club and the board is very optimistic about the 33-year-old extending his stay at his boyhood club.
Talks with Muller’s representatives have already begun and are already at the final stages and it is most likely an agreement will be reached in a matter of days. There will be a raise in his salary as well and the Germany international is looking forward to the new season. A board member who chose to remain anonymous said ”Muller is Bayern and Bayern is Muller.” ”We’re very confident he will be here till at least 2024 and probably beyond then, who knows.” Thomas Muller is a fan favourite at the club and the World Cup winner is eager to begin again next season.
Robert Lewandowski is not turning back from his decision to leave the Allianz Arena this season and he is more than keen on a Barcelona transfer in the coming days. The discussions are in secondary stages but nothing has been finalized as of yet. The Blaugrana are confident of landing Lewandowski it’s summer for a minimal fee and the striker could even force a move to leave Bayern Munich. Bayern is in no rush to sign a replacement and they are working remotely using scouts to monitor other top strikers around the European continent.
Bayern Munich are set to recall their loaned out striker Joshua Zirkzee from Anderlecht as the season has come to an end. The 21-year-old is considered to be a part of Bayern’s plans for the coming season. France international Corentin Tolisso is considering his options in the Premier League and could be set to move for free when his contract runs out in the summer.
The Bavarians are rumored to be monitoring Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen but no official discussions have begun with the player’s agent as of yet. Other options include Darwin Nunez, Sebastian Haller and Lazio’s Ciro Immobile is said to be on the list.
