Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has provided crucial injury updates ahead of the club’s Premier League match against Brentford on Saturday. During his press conference on Friday, Ten Hag confirmed that defender Harry Maguire and young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo will miss the game due to injuries.
The Dutch coach revealed that both players are expected to be sidelined for “a few weeks,” affecting United’s options in defense and midfield. “Kobbie Mainoo and Harry Maguire will be out for a few weeks,” Ten Hag stated, adding that neither will be available for the upcoming fixtures.
On a positive note, Ten Hag confirmed that Noussair Mazraoui, who was previously doubtful, is fit and ready for selection. “Noussair Mazraoui is available for selection,” he added, giving some relief to the squad ahead of the weekend game.
Manchester United is currently struggling in the Premier League, positioned 14th on the table after winning just two out of their first seven matches, while losing three. The team will be looking to bounce back against Brentford, aiming to improve their league standing and secure much-needed points.
