Matthew David Hughes, the man who invaded Eminem’s home earlier this year, has revealed that his intention was to end the life of the hip hop star.
The information comes from a police officer who testified at the preliminary examination, telling the court that Hughes told Eminem that he wanted to kill him.
Matthew David Hughes entered the rapper’s Michigan home back in April and the intruder appeared in the Macomb County District Court on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, for a preliminary examination.
Reports say that Officer Adam Hackstock testified during the preliminary hearing that when the rapper confronted the invader, Hughes told him he was there to kill him.
Hughes has been in police custody since April. It was revealed that the intruder was unarmed when he gained entry into Eminem’s home through a window he broke with a brick.

He is facing charges of first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of property. According to XXL, Hughes is scheduled to be arraigned on September 28, 2020, in Macomb County Circuit Court in Michigan.
