Is so sad to lose a lovely and talented actor. Actor and filmmaker Obi Madubogwu, who died on Monday, August 28, 2017, has been laid to rest on Friday, November 10, 2017, in his hometown Ogidi in Anambra State.
The internment was followed by an outing service on Sunday, November 12, at St Philips Anglican Church, Nkwere Ogidi, Anambra State. Before his demise, Madubogwu battled with a diabetic wound and had sought financial support for surgery, tests and medications but was unable to get it.
While some will remember the actor for his lead role in the 1996 film “Battle of Musanga,” Madubogwu made an impact on popular culture with his role as James in “Conspiracy.” The late actor starred in the 1999 movie alongside Onyeka Onwenu, Charles Okafor, Larry Koldsweat and Nkem Owoh.
His last cinematic outing was the 2015 movie “Grave Dust,” which was produced by him and starred Ramsey Nouah, Joke Silva and Joseph Benjamin. His other movie roles include “Mark of the Beast,” “Mothers-in-Law,” “The Last Vote” among others.
