Makinde arrived at the Presidential Lodge, Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta, where he was received by Abiodun and other top government functionaries around 11 am on Wednesday.
“Towards ensuring a safe border communities and inter-state travel between Ogun and Oyo States, we are receiving the Governor of Oyo State, Engr. @seyiamakinde today, as we both meet to deliberate on critical Security issues that affects the two States.” Dr. Dapo Abiodun earlier said in a tweet
The two governors thereafter went into a meeting to discuss the need for an Ogun-Oyo joint security arrangement, A meeting tagged “OGUN-OYO JOINT SECURITY“.
As they both meet to deliberate on critical security issues that affect the two states, it is expected that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) would be signed to secure the Ogun-Oyo corridors and frontiers.
The Ogun State Governor via his Twitter page @dabiodunMFR said, “This bilateral meeting is very important. Partnership of this nature will drive development also engender an enduring peace and individual prosperity of Ogun and Oyo States.”
