Omoyele Sowore, Sahara Reporters Publisher and leader of #RevolutionNow protest has been granted bail by the an Abuja court today with certain conditions.
Sowore who has been held in custody since August 3 was represented in court today by Femi Falana who pleaded that he should be granted bail and would make sure he’s available when called upon.
Justice Taiwo Taiwo who ruled over the case has asked the Department of State Service to release Omoyele Sowore on bail.
The judge made the ruling after listening to the argument of Sowore’s lawyer, Femi Falana (SAN) and the prosecuting counsel.
The judge, as part of bail conditions, asked Sowore to drop his passport with the court within 48 hours.
