Actor Jonathan Majors is reportedly off the hook after his attorney presented evidence that contradicted allegations made against him. The star of “Lovecraft Country” and the upcoming film “Creed III” was accused of assault by a woman who claimed that he had physically attacked her after she saw another woman texting him and tried to take a look at his phone.
However, his attorney, Priya Chaudhry, says she has text messages from the woman admitting that she was the one who used physical force against Majors. Chaudhry turned the texts over to law enforcement, and believes there is also video footage from inside the vehicle where the incident took place that will clear Majors.
Jonathan Majors, who is set to star in the upcoming “Creed III” movie, was arrested last weekend for misdemeanor assault, attempted assault, aggravated harassment, and harassment. The charges were made after a woman allegedly saw another woman texting Majors and tried to sneak a peek at his phone. The situation reportedly escalated when the woman allegedly used physical force against the actor.
However, new evidence has emerged in the case that could potentially clear Majors’ name. According to his attorney Priya Chaudhry, the alleged victim sent text messages to Majors admitting that she was the one who used physical force against him and saying that she does not want him to be prosecuted.
