JAMB has released this years UTME exams results held within March 9 and 17 but over 100,000 results where held.
The Board’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dr. Fabian Benjamin sneaking to Premium Times has given more insight on why the results of 111,98withndidates that sat for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), were withheld.
“There were candidates who went into the examination halls with materials that were banned. Telephone handsets and other materials were found on some of them”.
“There were even candidates who attempted to change the IP addresses of the computer systems assigned to them.”
“There are centres that colluded with candidates. Maybe their owners collected monies from the candidates and were dictating answers”.
Benjamin said he was not sure the results of the affected candidates would be released, adding that the release of the results “depends on the outcomes of the investigations. We are being fair and diligent in the screening to ensure injustice is not done to anyone”.
The 2018 UTME ended on Saturday, March 17, 2018.
