Iyanya, the popular Nigerian singer whose real name is Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, has spoken out to clear up rumors about his date with a lady he met at Davido’s concert, despite being warned by her alleged boyfriend. On Tuesday, he took to Twitter to share photos from their date, which he claimed was just a boat cruise, and to explain the circumstances that led to their meeting.
Iyanya stated that he saw a lovely woman at Davido’s Timeless concert two Sundays ago who was smiling at him throughout his performance. He was impressed by her and tweeted about it. Fortunately, the woman, whose name is Florence, responded, and Iyanya’s team reached out to her. They discovered that Florence was feeling depressed because one of her close relatives had been battling cancer. To help her feel better, Iyanya offered to treat her in Lagos.
Iyanya’s team contacted Florence and made arrangements for her to come to Lagos, where they provided her with accommodation, clothing, perfume, an iPhone, and a boat cruise, among other things, to make her feel special. Iyanya returned to Lagos on Monday and met Florence for the first time during the boat cruise, where he discovered that she had aspirations of becoming an influencer.
To help Florence achieve her dream, Iyanya gifted her a brand-new iPhone to make it easier for her to create content. He also expressed his admiration for her and his desire to help her achieve her goals.
Iyanya made it clear that he did not bring Florence to Lagos for any other reason than to make her happy after all she had been through. He thanked his fans for their support and encouraged them to continue to do so.
