An Irish woman identified as Bernie Adufe has come out to narrate her ordeal with a Nigerian man after seeing the Netflix documentary, “Tinder Swindler”.
According to Bernie, she met her swindler as far back as 2011.
I won't be looking at Tinder Swindler as back in 2011 I had my own swindler who I met at work. I was a prime target, lonely & stupid. I was convinced to go into business with him. I saw the business from the start & it felt safe. I even travelled to Nigeria after investing pic.twitter.com/GQ1HY0UBvY

I believed I’d profit. Everything felt OK over there. I even met his parents. Real cosy. But once I got back to Ireland. Contact became less & less. He blocked me everywhere. I tried over the years to find him & was told its useless. He’s probably blew every cent
Scammers aren’t always strangers. They can be friends or colleagues. I try not to think about how my life would be better if I’d not invested.
I was told the shipment arrived in Lagos but would take weeks to clear. I flew home with high hopes.
The day I realised I’d be scammed was dreadful. I had to move out of a nice apartment into a studio. I lived from pay 2 pay day. I got so depressed I’d work & sleep. I didn’t even go to my sisters wedding. I really don’t know how I’m still alive. He had it well planned. (sic)”
