The upcoming iPhone 15 Pro will be equipped with 8GB of RAM and a USB Type-C port, according to predictions by a research firm. The company recently launched the iPhone 14 Pro lineup, which comprises only two devices: the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. The latter came equipped with Apple’s flagship A16 Bionic chip. It’s expected that the company will launch new camera improvements on the version of this device next year, in addition to the aforementioned model.
The Cupertino company is said to be releasing the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max in the next few months. These models will come with Apple’s latest-generation A17 Bionic chip, research firm TrendForce claims. The non-Pro models are expected to feature Apple’s previous-generation A16 Bionic chip, says the firm.
The next generation of iPhone Pro models will have 8GB of RAM, according to TrendForce. This is a significant increase given that the current generations are said to come with 6GB of RAM. It should be noted that Apple doesn’t disclose the RAM specification of its iPhone models.
Apple will be required to comply with a European Union law and make the switch to the Type-C charger.
As predicted by the firm, Apple will switch from Lightning to USB Type-C. This will mark the end of a long dispute between Apple and the EU over a common charging port. The fight lasted several years, but they finally resolved their differences.
This news may disappoint some people, but it’s not too surprising to hear that next year’s iPhones won’t have a major redesign. The Taiwanese research firm predicts an 8P lens for the primary camera and phones will have fixed-aperture telephoto cameras with 10x optical zoom.
Firstly, TrendForce predicts that the iPhone 15 Pro lineup will feature a Qualcomm 5G modem. Secondly, Apple is continuing to develop its in-house 5G modem, which it says should be ready by 2024. Thirdly, an earlier report found that Apple may not have a 5G modem on the upcoming iPhone models for the next two years.
