American rapper, Meek Mill has expressed his mixed feelings after a couple of days of being freed from prison. The rapper who spent the last five months in jail was released on bail Tuesday, April 24 after being incarcerated since last November for violating his probation.
In one of his first interviews out of prison, he said;
“I ain’t feel free since I caught this case at the age of 19. I’m 30 now…I just I pray, and I believe God is my first lawyer. I always believed that. I got a strong team behind me, I got a lot of support. It’s a lot light shedded on my situation.”
Meek had a feeling his release was coming soon. However, the stress and weight on his shoulders is still prevalent, despite having the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on his side.
“I haven’t slept one minute since I’ve been out of prison,” Meek explained. “It’s actually like a culture shock coming from a small cell back into the real world, so I think my body has to adjust at this point.”
