Nigerian rap legend Michael Ugochukwu Stephens, better known as Ruggedman has shared a story of how he rescued a lady who was being assaulted.
Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, July 28, 2020, Ruggedman revealed that the incident took place yesterday, Monday, July 27, 2020.
According to the hip hop veteran, he heard a girl screaming and looking out of his window, saw her being assaulted by three guys who were attempting to drag her to a dark area.
Ruggedman and his security guard immediately swung into action, chasing away the hoodlums and rescuing the lady whose movement was “labored and slow” due to the severe beating she suffered.
The artist found out that she came to Nigeria from Ghana two days prior, After losing her things, she was forced to sleep on the road on Saturday night. The hoodlums saw her and tried to rape her on Sunday night.
She also said that her granny lives in Rivers State and Ruggedman took her into his street and gave her something to eat.
He took her to the station this morning where she answered some questions, after which she was sent to the clinic for treatment. After she had eaten and taken her bath, Ruggedman helped her on her trip to Rivers.

Last night was another experience. Sat up to female screaming. Looked out the window & saw a girl being assaulted on the other side of the express by 3 guys. They were trying to drag her into a dark area. My guard & the street security chased them off.

Her movement was laboured & really slow. We were able to convince her to cross over to our side. She groaned with every step. The boys really beat her.
Talking to her, I got to know she came into Nigeria from Ghana two days ago after a misunderstanding with her sister.— RUGGEDMAN (@RuggedyBaba) July 27, 2020

Put her in a safer place to sleep & called Ogudu @PoliceNG station Dpo Celestina Nwankwo. After briefing her, we agreed that I'll take her to the station today, Monday morning.
