Following the acquisition of the largest chat network, Whatsapp by Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg, there has been a whole lot of improvisation and the latest is the new video calling function added to the chat app.
You can now make free video calls on your device to your contacts. The video chat is a big plus for Whatsapp as it’d be gradually taking Skype’s place in the social space.
Here is how the video chat works:
First, Open a chat with the contact you need to video call on your whatsapp
Tap on the dial icon
You will see a pop out option, asking if you want to make a voice call or video call
Click on video call, you connected and on the go.
As simple as that!
