Hollywood veteran Tom Hanks and his wife actress Rita Wilson are now officially citizens of Greece.
Wilson, who is of Greek descent from her mother’s side, found out the extent of her heritage on an episode of Who Do You Think You Are? while her hubby Hanks revealed back in January that he’d been made an honorary citizen.
News of their new status was shared on Instagram by Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis over the weekend, uploading a picture of himself with the couple, writing:
@ritawilson @tomhanks are now proud Greek citizens!”
