Nigerians on Twitter are comparing Rema to U.S. rapper Kanye West following some rather controversial comments the Bad Commando crooner shared.
Kanye is known for dropping the occasional bombshell once in a while and in recent times, he seems to be in hyper mode. But when a budding artist like Rema suddenly starts following the same path, eyebrows will be raised.
On Monday, September 28, 2020, the Nigerian singer posted a series of unexpected tweets, one of which has him confessing to having stolen a laptop in 2017.
In another post, Rema revealed how he told D’Prince (the younger brother of producer Don Jazzy) he was making money where he was before being signed and that he was told he was “the chosen one.”
He also said that he made millions before he became famous and that no one should think that the money was changing him.
