Senator Olabiyi Durojaiye, an Ijebu-Igbo born politician has died due to complications from COVID-19.
Durojaiye who died at the age of 88 was a former political activist and member of the National Democratic Coalition(NADECO) represented Ogun East in the Senate between 1999 and 2003.
He later served as chairman of Board of Commissioners for Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), under the first term of the Buhari administration.
COVID-19 has been flagged as the killer of Senator Ibrahim Mantu and the pioneer artist Yusuf Adebayo Grillo.
The Durojaiye family is yet to release a statement on his death.
