Florida high school shooting – Gunshots broke out in Forest High School, Ocala in Florida Friday morning and a 19-year-old, Sky Bouche has been arrested to be in connection with the shootings.

The Florida high school shooting resulted in hurting one of the students of the school.

The incident occurred shortly before students were to walk out as part of a national protest against gun violence according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.

Marion County Sheriff Billy Woods revealed within minutes that a school resource officer identified a suspected shooter who is said to be a 19-year-old male.

The sheriff said at a news conference on Friday that the suspected shooter was taken into custody without incident and the student that was shot was taken to hospital.

Woods said the shoot looked intentional but didn’t seem to be targeting anyone and the suspect, Sky Bouche, 19, is currently facing investigations and said to be cooperative.

Bouche is facing eight charges and they are terrorism , aggravated assault with a firearm, culpable negligence, carrying a concealed firearm, possession of a firearm on school property, possession of short-barreled shotgun, interference in a school function and armed trespassing on school property.

Sky Bouche, 19, facing eight count charges

As Sky Bouche was being escorted out of the Marion County Sheriff’s Office Operations Center, he was hounded by reporters with questions.

When one reporter asked if Bouche was “trying to shoot someone,” he shook his head.

“I shot through the door,” he said. “I didn’t see anyone.”

Then, when asked by a reporter what he would say to the victim’s family, Bouche replied, “Sorry.”

“It doesn’t make it better, anyway,” he said before he was led into a police van.

Woods called the injured victim and the deputy for took Bouche into custody “heroes.” When Woods visited the injured student in the hospital, he said he told him, “I am so glad it was me and not one of my friends.”

The shooting took place in the school’s main building, according to Marion County Public Schools. Approximately 2,200 students attend Forest High School. The students were evacuated and the high school placed on lockdown, along with 17 other schools in the area.
