Barcelona’s Lionel Messi has once again been awarded the best player at the FIFA Football Awards in Milan.
Messi beat out fellow contenders, Cristiano Ronaldo (Juventus), and Virgil van Dijk (Liverpool) to clinch the coveted prize.
This makes it the sixth time the Argentine has won it after claiming the same in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2015.
Lionel Messi scored 54 goals in 58 games for both club and country in 2018/19 season.
