John Terry then posted statistics to back that he was not only better than Ferdinand, but he was the best defender in the PL. This took a whole new turn of events as Ferdinand countered the former Chelsea defender, stating he was lucky to be in his(Ferdinand’s) all time best.

Following the infographics that Terry posted, Ferdinand reportedly brought up the racism case of a few years ago against John Terry, which claimed Terry was making racial slurs to Anton Ferdinand, Rio’s brother in a match between Chelsea and QPR in November 2011.

”The moment one has to start pushing their records and stats it’s really time to start addressing their fragile ego. Your lucky I even put you in the top 5 after the racism case with my brother so be thankful you made it.” Ferdinand tweeted.

John Terry replied almost immediately. ”A Fragile Ego is putting yourself at Number 1 @rioferdy5 Thanks for putting me in your top five” he ended with a thumbs-up emoji and a trophy.

Terry was recorded calling Anton Ferdinand a ”f****** black c*** ” during the match and the matter was sent to court while Ferdinand was placed under police investigation. This was a few years after John Terry was stripped of the England captaincy after having extramarital affairs with the fiancee of England and club teammate Wayne Bridge. This caused a lot of rift on the national team, with Bridge opting to pull out of the World Cup squad because of the incident.
