A National Youths Corps member identified as Amaka Asikaogu has been reportedly found dead, few days to the end of her service in an Abuja hotel.
According to reports, the deceased had checked into New England Hotel in Abuja on Saturday evening with a male friend who left few minutes after they were served food and drinks.
Amaka’s male friend, when asked about her welfare had insisted that she is fine and alone in the room. The deceased also affirmed that she was fine when called by the hotel staff.
Amaka’s corpse had been found in the room when the hotel staff who were worried that she is yet to check out the following day, forced their way in.
A family friend who confirmed the incident revealed that Amaka’s parents had recently sent her money after she complained that the person she was staying with asked her to leave the house and that she had been waiting for the weekend to get accommodation before the incident happened.
