Nollywood veteran actress, Joke Silva is currently trending on Twitter after she attended the women’s rally in support of APC’s Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
It was reported that Nigerians expressed disappointment in their favorite Nollywood actresses after their names appeared on the Tinubu/Shettima Women Presidential Campaign Team which went viral on 1st October 2022.
The rally which kicked off at Tinubu Square in Lagos State saw celebrities, market women, and professionals from various fields wearing t-shirts with APC’s logos and inscribed words.
Mixed reactions have however trailed joke Silva’s support for Bola Tinubu. While some netizens note that they are pleased that she came out with her full chest to support her candidates, others questioned her moral justification and asked where she left her ailing husband, Olu Jacobs.
See some reactions below:
I’m really happy Joke Silva closed her comments and other Tinubu supporters are in the closet and afraid to publicly support him/APC. This means we’re getting somewhere.
There is shame in supporting greed, wickedness and failure, and I’m happy they recognize this.

Mercy Johnson, Joke Silva & other public figures campaigning for Tinubu shouldn't be ur problem, a lot of celebs will campaign for the APC. Nigerians talk big but at the end of the day, majority are only f!ghting for their self-interest; So don't let anyone influence u. Be smart.

Tinubu claims he is 70. But his daughter, Iyaloja, is 72. Joke Silva, Zack Orji, Femi Otedola & others can support Asiwaju. The old guards want the status quo, but youths make up 70% of Registered Voters. So 2023 is between forward ever & backward never. Am I making sense?

History will judge her for not supporting a bloody corrupt politician that stole $12m from Anambra state and put in his family business? All of you are mad! Some celebrities can support your thief of a candidate but Joke Silva cannot support another candidate. https://t.co/LkfKSH4Vz8

Dear Obidients,
GLO recruited the whole of Nollywood as ambassadors. But, we all know the market leaders.
Lose no sleep over Joke Silva. She is an actress. She just collected appearance fee.

Cannot believe Obidients are crying like babies all over Twitter about Joke Silva. Hypocrites with zero internal monologue not to mention conviction. They present Peter Obi as a Messiah and expect self respecting people to fall in line? Gotta be kidding me. Cry a damn river.

Everyone can not support Peter Obi. Joke Silva can support Tinubu if she wants no problem. She’s securing her bag; We are securing our future. May the best ‘Securer’ win.

"Nobody should drag Joke Silva, Mercy Johnson, Rahama Sadau, & other celebs in Tinubu's Women Campaign Team" ????????
My life and my child's life are at stake. So if you think you have the right to support support rubbish, I have the right also drag you and call you out.

If the P Square bothers can publicly show their support for Peter Obi, why can’t Joke Silva support Tinubu or whoever she wants? Afterall, she has just one vote.

You saw the last 7 years of the Buhari Administration and the decline in our quality of life as Nigerians.
Joke Silva has lived out her best years so she has absolutely nothing to lose.
It's the future of Young Nigerians that are being toyed with.
