Nollywood actor, Alex Ekubo, has opined that the Lekki Tollgate should remain free forever as Nigerians mark the second anniversary of the EndSARS killing.
TalkGlitz recalls that on October 20, 2020, the country was plunged into mourning following the shootings at the Lekki Tollgate carried out by the Nigerian Army to stop the youths protesting against police brutality.
Two years later, Nigerians have continued to mourn and grieve over some youths who died during the tragic incident.
In a post shared on Instagram, Alex Ekubo wrote to the Nigerian government, saying the youths will never forget the incident.
According to the actor, the Lekki tollgate should be renamed and remain free forever because Nigerian youths paid with their blood.
He said: “Dear Nigerian Government, we will NEVER forget this day. 20 – 10 – 20. We will return the favour. The Labour of our heroes past shall never be in vain.
“I still maintain, Lekki Toll plaza should be renamed Lekki Memorial Way & remain toll free forever. We paid in full with our blood. Aluta Continua, Victoria Ascerta”
