The Presidential Election Tribunal has ended Atiku Abubakar and PDP’s petition in what turned out to be a defeat for them as it declared that there was no evidence showing that INEC transmitted the results of the last presidential election to any state.
The judgment was pronounced by Justice Mohammed Garba, who said transmission of results through any server was strange to the electoral law in Nigeria. It added that if any such server existed, it was in violation of the law in the country.
I have carefully examined Exhibit 28 (INEC Manual for Election) tendered by the petitioners. I did not see where there is provision for electronic transmission of result of the election.Mohammed Garba – pmnewsnigeria.com
The tribunal ruled that President Buhari was qualified to participate in the election.
