Nigerian Afro-pop star, Davido is off the hook with a new banging music joint titled Pere which features American hip hop duo, Rae Sremmurd and rapper, Young Thug.
The latest song had been on the anticipation list the moment Davido was pictured in the studio with the Amercian hip hop stars.
A Nigerian sound actually got the signature, ‘Mustard on the beat‘. That tells you DJ Mustard was on the beat.
Pere is a global sound with every potential to hit the number spot on the billboard and other countdown charts in a short while. The originality in Davido’s delivery is applaudable, even in its simplicity. The Sremmurd brothers, the duo of Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi drop a catchy verse on the song. Yeah, another plus, another sauce! Young Thug gave a final shot with his rhythmic rap bars.
And to crown it all, we got all the faces on the video directed by Nigerian ace cinematographer, SESAN. No one is missing out.
The African sound aka Afrobeat is waxing stronger in the international scene, big ups to the likes of Davido and WizKid.
Quotable Lyrics:
Folake je mefa pere
Tinuke je merin pere
Malo gun iyan mi kere
Talo so’pe k’oun kere oo
