Swift’s Political Endorsement Sparks Heated Reaction from Former President
Former US President Donald Trump has publicly expressed his disdain for pop star Taylor Swift following her endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris. The singer’s political stance became a talking point after she urged her followers to support Harris shortly after Tuesday night’s presidential debate with Trump.
According to TalkGlitz, Swift’s endorsement prompted thousands of individuals to visit a federal voter registration site. However, a poll conducted from September 11 to 13, 2024, with 3,276 adult respondents, revealed that Swift’s endorsement had minimal impact on voters’ decisions.
The poll results showed that 81% of respondents said Swift’s endorsement did not affect their likelihood of voting for Harris. Among women under 30, 8% indicated they were more likely to support Harris, while 13% said they were less likely, and 78% stated it made no difference.
Despite the minimal effect, Trump’s reaction was swift and blunt. On his TRUTH Social platform on Sunday, September 15, the former president posted a simple but pointed message: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.”
