Crystal Palace are set to begin a dialogue with Chelsea about the availability of Conor Gallagher. The 22-year-old has been on loan at Crystal Palace since the start of this season.
He has been an instrumental figure for the Eagles this season with 8 goals and 5 assists. He was involved when Crystal Palace beat Everton 4-0 in the FA cup to advance to the semis. Unfortunately Gallagher will not be involved in the game as it is against the FA’s rule for a loaned player to play against the parent club.
Crystal Palace want Gallagher permanently and the player is also eager to get regular minutes and a starting spot. Chelsea are not interested in letting Gallagher leave as he is viewed as an important part of the team ahead of next season. Although if he chooses to leave on a permanent deal,Chelsea will accept no less than a £30m fee for the England international. Newcastle United have been monitoring Gallagher since the season started in August. Sources close to Gallagher reveal he likes Crystal Palace and also head coach Patrick Vieria and it seems he would like a permanent deal.
Gallagher has become a Premier League favourite and Chelsea will be doing everything they can to keep him.
