Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered a groundbreaking move to Spanish club side Barcelona and could join Lionel Messi in the team.
Ronaldo could be on his way to Barcelona after his two-season stay at Juventus, according to Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.
Speaking to BBC, the newsman explained that the Serie A champions are anxious to ship off Ronaldo due to his expensive wages and that they are offering him to some of Europe’s best, including Barcelona.
He said:
He’s been offered everywhere, including Barcelona. I’m not sure if they can get rid of him easily with the kind of money he earns. Who is going to pay that kind of money?”
Barcelona has suffered some financial setbacks since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic and may be unable to spend any huge sum at the moment.
While the prospect of a combination of Ronaldo and Messi is too exciting to ignore, nothing definite has been confirmed yet as the deal could still be thrown out the window.
