Nigeria’s renowned music sensation, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has recently unveiled his close friendship with the Portuguese football prodigy, Cristiano Ronaldo.
During a captivating guest appearance on the latest episode of the ABTalks podcast, expertly hosted by Anas Bukhash, Davido candidly disclosed his strong bond with the renowned footballer.
The Nigerian artist, who made history as the first Nigerian artiste to perform at the FIFA World Cup final in Qatar last year, expressed his disapproval towards those who mocked Ronaldo following Portugal’s unfortunate exit from the tournament.
Davido, in a heartfelt statement, shared his sentiments, stating, “Look at [Cristiano] Ronaldo when he left the World Cup. He is my friend, by the way. He is my very good friend. When he [Ronaldo] left the World Cup, I remember being on the internet, and they [trolls] were abusing him so much, even after everything that he has done.”
It is worth noting that Davido had previously paid tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo in his hit song ‘Fall,’ which was released in 2017. The track showcased Davido’s admiration for the football icon and further solidified their unique connection.
